Finn, aged 15

“For me I loved the homely warmth of the cottage. It was particularly nice to see the few lonely seals which we saw scattered along the coast and we loved seeing choughs and gannets along the St Davids head area (would recommend a walk from Porth Clais along to Porth Stinian. Thank you David & Christina”

Kat & Michael

Trevor and Sue

“What a very special place to stay! A unique, well-equipped cottage situated amidst a beautiful garden which begs to be explored, with wonderful views of the hillside in the distance. Christina and David are generous, knowledgeable hosts who go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. The peace, beauty and wildlife are all there. We long to return!”

Gill Brown

“We could not let the moment pass without writing to express our thanks for such a wonderful stay. It is rare that expectations are met in full and we were excited by the photographs and description of both the garden and the cottage. It was everything and so much more than we had imagined and hoped for. A true hideaway, quiet, tranquil, cosy and comfortable. We rediscovered silence and reading by the log fire, just the 2 of us (and of course the dogs!). No internet, no tv and no traffic. The views were unsurpassable and your glorious garden, sliding into autumn, was a pleasure to step into every morning. We saw the sunset over the Preseli hills and the Milky Way from the doorstep. When can we come again?”

Chris Brown

“A blissful space to spend time. A secluded hideaway surrounded by glorious scenery and with spectacular walks on beaches and hills. All this in the heart of a garden built with passion and skill in a converted cowshed which defines romantic.”

Mathew Owen, London

“We found Bwthyn to be the perfect place to get away from it all. From the cosy wood burning stove to the amazing garden, the cottage is a wonderful welcoming oasis set against the jaw-dropping Pembrokeshire landscape. For us, it was the little touches that made the difference. The beautiful Welsh tweed blankets, the well equipped kitchen, and the interesting artwork and books gave the cottage a homely feel. We will definitely be returning to Bwthyn in the near future.”

Angie Bezzina, Johnston, Pembs

“Every time I come here I leave renewed”
“Many thanks for the hospitality – there are some places you love and some you fall in love with!”

Susan Bayes, Normandy, France

“If you want somewhere peaceful to escape to I can think of nowhere more ideal. To find yourself amidst the beauty of Christina’s garden by simply opening a door, coupled with a backdrop of the Preseli hills beyond is pure heaven on earth. Watch the swallows swoop down to drink from the pond, count the dragonflies (if you can). Sing on swing seat, listen to the silence and the buzzards calling…….delight in no telephone or tv and enjoy cosying up by the wood burner in the evening listening to music or curling up with a good book. It’s so romantic. It’s not even necessary some days to venture out to the beautiful surrounding area and beaches but simply to relax and enjoy being there. Christina and David are the most charming of hosts, the pleasure can be all yours.”

Nicki & Lawrie Lee, Surrey

“Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely sanctuary. Enjoyed it just as much as last time and hope we can come back again’
‘Congratulations – all you have done here – it’s stunning- love the grasses and the tree of Nick.”

Angie Bezzina, Johnston, Pembs

“This is the place to forget your Kinnect box 360 and rediscover how to ride your bike. Just relax in a beautiful garden with a glass of wine and some good food cooked at your own pace with that book (or your kindle) that you’ve always meant to read. Exercise? You can always wander in the stunning countryside or walk off that picnic on the coast path (or just fall asleep at the cove at Cwm yr Eglwys). Anyway, this is just the place to relax!”

Debbie Collins

“Through your ceasless activity you have created a centre of stillness and silence. A well, to which I hope to return to empty myself again and again, to empty and to fill.
With grateful thanks.”

Wendy Selby, Newquay, Cornwall

“I just want to thank you for your part in a very happy few days at the Bwthyn – always there but never intrusive. It was a joy to share your corner of the world. Especially thank you for loading up my car for me when the time came to leave – it made the difference between arriving home a cripple and being just a bit stiff – very much appreciated! Hoping to return before too long.”

Hannah, Alex, Becca and Steve

“A big thank you for providing us with such a beautiful place to stay in Wales. We had a wonderful holiday and will take home with us many happy memories. It has been lovely to be with you again, the Bwthyn has worked its magic…”
