Sunday 7th of September 2014 brings the last of our three National Garden Scheme open days this year.
The Garden will be at its peak and our teas are better than ever, and getting quite a reputation!
The NGS raises literally millions of pounds for charity through visitors to hundreds of gardens all over the British Isles. Many of the gardens are not otherwise open and it can be the only chance to visit. Details are printed in the famous “Yellow Book” and online at www.ngs.org.uk
After this warm, wet winter, with no cold snap in Spring the Spring surge of growth was overwhelming and served the garden well for our May and August NGS days.
Looking forward to September, we will see a continuing good display of South African and tropical plants, the field of ornamental grasses at its peak and some startling dahlias in the front garden.
We are open from 11am until 6pm.
Plants will be for sale, as will tea and home-made cakes.
Entrance is £5 with children under 16 free of charge. Season tickets and Gardener’s World 2-for-1 vouchers do not apply on charity days.
We look forward to seeing you!
